- Managing Partner of Narragansett Capital Partners and its affiliated private equity funds focused on leveraged buyout and other private equity transactions
- Chief Executive Officer of Narragansett Capital Corporation, the largest publicly owned venture capital company until its sale in 1986
- He has served on numerous public and private corporate Boards; he served as President of the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies in 1979 and was a member of the Board of Directors for both the National Association of Small Business Investment Companies and the National Venture Capital Association
